Lyall Bay, Wellington

Lyall Bay is Wellington’s most popular surf beach. It has a small access ramp at the airport end of the beach.

You can hire a beach wheelchair from the Lyall Bay Surf Club. They have two beach wheelchairs

• A Hippocampe All Terrain Beach Wheelchair
• A DeBug EZ Roller Beach Wheelchair with Pontoons for floating in the water

Visit Lyall Bay Surf Life Saving Club: Pop in and see one of the lifeguards. You just need to leave a driver's licence or passport with them while you use the chairs.
