
Waihi beach is proud to offer two beach wheelchairs free of charge for public use. These chairs were kindly donated by a beach resident and local real estate agent LJ Hooker.
Waihi Beach have the following beach wheelchairs
Beach Matting is available from Labour Weekend and remain out until Easter weekend located by the Surf Life Saving Club.
Waihi is also launching a new Accessible Changing Facility on Saturday 7 March 2026.
How to book:
The Wheelchairs are stored at the Tasman Holiday Park at 15 Beach Road, across the road from the beach. They can be booked by calling the Tasman Holiday Park in advance to secure your booking on 0800 924 448.
They also allow schools or organisations to use the wheelchairs for a day long or special events.
